Thailand Peace Studies Program becomes permanent

  • Call it a step toward a lasting peace — or a lasting peace program at least.
  • The Rotary Foundation has announced that the peace and conflict studies program at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand, will become a permanent peace education initiative.
  • The three-month professional development certificate program began in 2006 as a three-year pilot aimed at mid- to upper-level professionals working for government and nongovernmental organizations in need of a shorter program than the two-year peace studies master’s degrees offered at the other six Rotary Centers for International Studies
